Action 52 - Mario Gonzalez Interview - The Truth Behind the Worst Game of All Time!
Wednesday Oct 20, 2021
Wednesday Oct 20, 2021
Action 52 is regarded by many as the worst NES games/carts of all time but my, does it have a fascinating story. Entrepreneur Vince Perri's foray into the video games industry was a mammoth 52 game compilation all on one NES cart. What resulted was a curious mix of games, many of which were unplayable.
Adrian, furious at how The Cheetahmen never became mainstream, channeled this energy into tracking down Action 52 producer Mario Gonzalez for this fascinating insight into a cart which could have been the best NES cart of all time. But it wasn't. Enjoy.
You can read Mario Gonzalez's previous interview with us here.

Mike Rouse (Sony, Ubisoft, Microsoft & Anstream) - Interview
Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
We love all our interviewees, this is fact. But every now and then we’ll have someone on who really blows us away. Mike Rouse’s work is phenomenal.
One of Sony’s brightest talents he went on to help The Getaway (PS2) win a BAFTA in one of his first jobs. Stellar work at Ubisoft and Microsoft followed so he’s quite a story to tell.
Mike is now working at Antstream and helping keep retro gaming alive!
Mike shares some amazing stories in this lovely podcast chat.

Wednesday Sep 01, 2021

On a retrogaming podcast? Are you kidding me?! Sort of. Our journey into the cold wastelands of Patreon has opened up a few opportunities to do different things. Adrian's mum's erotic novel is one (we're all petrified, don't worry) and the opportunity to talk about more modern stuff is another.
Dylan (of all people) introduces the concept and the boys open up about the modern games they've been enjoying the last few years and ones which are due a Patreon podcast or two. From Microsoft's Forza offerings to PlayStation exclusives to er, Breath of the Wild and Stadia (oh we go there), we hope there's something to tantalise your taste buds for the future.

Sound Test Vol.3 - Amiga POWER
Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
We don't capitalise much but the latest Sound Test effort from our Keith certainly deserves it - Amiga POWER!
Dylan stole some of the more well-known tracks for his driving mix in 2020 but Keith didn't need to dig deep to find some absolute beauties. From Alien Breed to Turrican 2, from Brimble to Huelsbeck, it's all here in lovely Amiga stereo-quality goodness.
So put your feet up and relax to almost two hours of Amiga POWER!

Howard Scott Warshaw left an undeniable mark on the video game industry! After creating the amazing Yars' Revenge for the Atari 2600, it seemed Howard would become one of the true pioneers of the video game industry... In fact, he would almost single handily go on to to destroy the industry with the release of E.T.
Howard shares some amazing stories in his short-lived but hugely influential career in gaming. He gives some truly honest and revealing answers on how one man was blamed for almost grinding the video game industry to a halt.
Howard also reflects on his amazing new book; Once Upon Atari: How I made history by killing an industry.
